After that you will visit Mnarani Aquarium. Tour finishes with a great Swahili local style lunch! Explore the dhow-building capital of Zanzibar, Nungwi, on a half day tour. Take in the bustling fish markets where freshly caught fish is auctioned before visiting the ruins of an old Portuguese settlement. A stop at a blacksmith where tools are still made in the traditional way will be a highlight before visiting a dhow construction site. Here skilled craftsmen bend wood and craft dhows the same way they have been for centuries.

A visit to the Nungwi Turtle Sanctuary and aquarium where turtles are nursed back to health before being released back into the wild is followed by a guided Nungwi Village tour. Mnarani Turtle Conservation Project is a local NGO that provides shelter and protection to Hawksbill Turtles as well as the endangered Green Turtles. Enjoy some free time on the beach or in the water before returning to your hotel.
